So what's next for The King? Disney World, like the NFL Champs proudly proclaim? Surprisingly no! Lebron James is on his way to Cleveland and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
James said "You bet yo ass I'm on my way to Cleveland. Those bitches been crying and burning my jerseys since I left. Yeah? Well, guess who has a trophy and a ring now b-tch. Cleveland is a loser town who will never get their own trophy so I'm going to parade mine around for those losers to see. Who is the loser now?"
James scored 26 points and the Miami Heat tied an NBA Finals record with 14 3-pointers in a 121-106 victory against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder to clinch their first title since 2006.
James, chosen the Most Valuable Player in the Finals, also had 13 assists and 11 rebounds. Mike Miller added 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, as Miami won the best-of-seven series four games to one a year after losing to Dallas in the Finals in James's first year with the Heat.
It has been almost two years since James, 27, walked away from his home-state team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a made-for-television announcement ridiculed by Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, James promised 13,000 fans at AmericanAirlines Arena that the Heat would win multiple championships just after signing a six-year, $110 million deal with Miami.
Now, James is savoring a trip to the town he once called home; the town he was supposed to bring the title home to. He insists that he still is bringing it home to Cleveland -- but this time to tease them.
Dwayne Wade, Lebron's teammate said, "I'm going with him. We won this trophy together and I'm not missing out on the fun. Those poor Ohioans were upset when he left but they ain't seen mad until they check this trophy and ring out. We gonna dance at The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame all night. What they gonna do buy his Heat jersey and burn those? They all ready burned all of his Cavalier jerseys. He don't care as long as he sells jerseys they can burn all they want!"
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra commented, "I don't like poor sportsmanship and this smells like poor sportsmanship. I didn't know about the trip until I read about it, but unless he breaks a law, there's no reason for me to stop that trip. Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a great place to visit and I'm sure he'll have a good time."
To the king go the spoils ...or something like that.
