Now that we got that out of the way let's start with today's tip. Let's talk about protective clothing.
I'm not going to say that protective clothing is more important that weapons, but it can save your life in ways that a weapon can't.
As I write this I can tell you there is more than one way that the undead can come back to life. It could be an act of God, it could be a viral infection, or it could be a drug like we have seen recently with Bath Salts. Regardless of how the undead come back, with all our research we have seen that the disease spreads rapidly. Most of the Hollywood movies make you believe if you are bitten by a zombie that you will then turn to a zombie. It's not the bite that does you in. It's the transfer of the virus (infection) through the blood stream.
Now here is where protective clothing comes in to play. The average human isn't going to be able to bite through the articles of clothing I am about to discuss.
In theory a decaying dead human will have even less strength as their body loses functionality. All of you smokers that used up your Marlboro miles are about to be very happy with me. One of the best pieces of clothing outside of leather to protect yourself with is denim. So get those Marlboro jackets out of the closet and wear them proudly. Keep your arms and legs covered at all times when out of your secure position.
Depending on your location you might want to switch up your footwear. In the city you would want something light and easy to run in and mountainous regions you are going to want some boots to help you climb if you have to retreat deep into the woods. If you are in a cooler climate or biker leather will be your best friend. Wear as much of it as you can to protect your skin from any bites. It will also wipe clean easy when you have to get dirty smashing skulls.
Another thing that is overlooked is face protection. Make sure you have something that can cover your eyes. Blood can get into your system through your tear ducts. Any full face motorcycle helmet or paintball mask will do. Again, just make sure you have something.
