Local Nerd Writes App To Help Homeless
PARKERSBURG- Freddy Johnson is a nerd. He taught himself how to use a computer when he was in elementary school. Sure, a lot of kids his age learned to browse the web, play simple video games, or color with MS Paint, but Freddy was a cut above the rest. He taught himself how to program the computer. When he was only 8 years old he wrote a javascript program that fooled his sister into thinking her laptop was infected by the 'boyfriend virus'.
12 years later, he's using his power for good and it's finally paid off -- not just for Freddy, but for homeless people everyone.
