CHARLESTON- In a surprising move to supersede the United States Supreme Court, WV Legislators put to vote the Equal Rights Law for marriage in West Virginia.  What was assumed to be a quickie in-and-out vote that constituents would happily get behind, turned into a long back and forth debate with Delegates coming and going through the night.  In the end, gays got what they wanted.  The right to marry in West Virginia.

Many, many years ago, when rugged men began to dig for coal deep in the earth, they were not alone.  

The West Virginia Legislature is considering a law that would make it mandatory that West Virginian diners tip their waiter. The law which is being discussed now would automatically add anywhere from 15% to 20% of the total check to the bill to make sure West Virginian waiters and waitresses are sufficiently compensated for their work. The exact amount has not yet been decided but many proponents of the new law are calling for the amount to be as high as 25%."

Dear Golden Dome

I recently learned that the Governor is signing a law to ban dangerous wild animals and exotic beasts in West Virginia. I have a parrot, should I be frightened for my life? Whenever it says, "Polly wanna cracker?" it's almost like she's about to say "or else".  Lately, my iguana is giving me the evil eye.  Is it just my imagination or should I be frightened?

CHARLESTON - West Virginia lawmakers ended their 60 day legislative session over the weekend by passing a ban on fast food drive thru windows.  A unanimous Senate vote and an 80-8 vote in The House of Delegates approved that all fast food resturaunts have until December 31, 2012 to disable their drive thru windows.
