Here at the Diggerer we want to keep you safe. With the recent Zombie sightings in West Virginia we have decided now is the time to teach you to survive. Without further ado we would like to introduce you to our newest feature by Shepherd University Professor, Dr. Pat Hogen:

In this series, I am going to teach you how to survive the impending Zombie Apocalypse.  Mark my words, It is not a matter of if it will happen, but when it will happen.  With recent instances of Zombie attacks along the East Coast, I fear it will be sooner, rather than later.

If you haven't already started planning then you most likely will end up as Zombie chow. However, I will do my best to give you a crash course in Zombie Survival techniques.  Your plan might vary in implementation, but if you do not have any of the things listed below, then I suggest you run up to the first Zombie you see and let it bit you.

You're going to die, anyway, so you may as well get it over with.  On that note, let's begin with something basic:

HAVE A PLAN!

I don't need to reinvent the wheel,  here.  The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has updated their website to include Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse [LINK].  They cover a lot of the basics.  Also, The American Red Cross also has excellent instructions on how to make a plan for emergencies [LINK] . This plan is good for natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, as well as disasters caused by fire.  No, they don't mention Zombies, but it's still good information.

Over the next several weeks I will give you daily tips on things you need to complete your plan. Stay tuned to The Diggerer for your daily Zombie Survival Tips.  You can also follow along with our daily tips on twitter: @ZATips.
