TheDiggerer Fun Fact of the Day: the plural of Opossum is also Opossum -- the same goes for Possum.
White Ninja Productions signed a deal with Mountain Mama Films to bring Ninjety Possum to the big screen.
The movie is the brainchild of West Virginia celebrity and resident superhero, The Boone County Ninja [LINK]. It will star the West Virginia native and rumor has it, will include a cameo from another Boone County native, Jesco White.
A recent meeting of the minds between the two West Virginia celebrities resulted in the creation of a production company which would evolve around their creative super powers. The first result is the new movie which is scheduled for a Fall 2013 release.
Diemon Dave, the Boone County Ninja, will portray their mentor and will appear as himself. Jesco White will play Jessie, an old mountaineer who accidentally creates the toxic tonic. The Possum characters will be named TeddyJoe, Rosco, Lee Roy, and Oliverio. Actors have not been selected, but they are hoping for big-name young Hollywood types, like Dave Franco, Alexander Ludwig, Nick Jonas, and Ryan What's-his-name.
The only other spoiler TheDiggerer could uncover is the villain. The main baddie will be called "EPA Man", so it's possible the main storyline will revolve around the PBCNPWS's saving the West Virginia Coal Industry. We wanted to know if we might see depictions of Nick Joe Rahall, Senator Joe Manchin and Senator Jay Rockefeller helping the EPA Man attack coal -- but the script writers played possum when asked.
Dave told us about the night the idea came to him, "Jesco were telling me 'bout the time he was workin' on his still when he noticed there were a leak. Well, this big ol' Possum was back there slurpin' all the moonshine up. Jesco sweared that there possum got all puffed up and mean. It hit him with a vicious judy chop like he'd been watchin' my videos [LINK], ya know? That night I had me a dream, sort of. Maybe it were the moonshine... but in it there was a gang of Ninjety Possum running around fighting crime with me, ya know?"
In the upcoming film the "Pickled Boone County Ninjety Possum Whipper Snappers", a group of young possum stumble across a toxic batch of moonshine. The possum drink the bubbling brew and transform into tiny, furry, super badass heroes. The Boone County Ninja said the movie will be about more than just moonshine, possum, explosions and such. "I think educationsim is important for young 'uns, ya know? This movie will have a very important learnin' message thingie for the tikes. 'Don't go Ninja'ing nobody that don't need Ninja'ing'. I cain't stress that enough. We hope to make a threelogy movie series, so other movies will have other important message things."
