There is a local story that has gone national of a brave young lady who is standing up against the evils of abstinence. Her first amendment rights were CLEARLY violated when she was asked to LISTEN to a guest speaker talking about something she did not agree with.
MONONGALIA COUNTY- Senator Bobbie Freshauer (D), has introduced a bill that would call for all parents who homeschool to have at least a ninth grade education.
WASHINGTON- President Obama stunned early morning press corp reporters with his prepared comments this Friday. In what appears to be a paradigm shift, Obama is endorsing Homeschooling as the most "honest solution to the recent tragedy in Sandy Hook".

LOGAN- When Todd Mathews dressed up as a zombie to attend Logan High School's Halloween party, the senior did not considered he was doing anything wrong. MORGANTOWN- Despite authorities cracking down on the practice and making the act a felony; despite university efforts to ban the practice, and despite a video from the WVU Student Government -- couches continue to burn in Morgantown.

MARTINSBURG- A Berkley County Little League Team has a new NFL Sponsor and a new name. Not everyone is happy with the changes and several parent groups have complained to the League Commission to ban them from playing.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AJ) — West Virginia University is back on top for the first time in five years, bumping off Ohio University to reclaim its title as the nation's No. 1 party school.

MORGANTOWN- Chick-fil-A is once again being protested, this time on the campus of WVU. Students and civil rights groups are outraged at the discriminatory practices of the chicken sandwich restaurant and are demanding the franchise be removed.

MORGANTOWN- Red Solo Cup made a big splash at the Greenbrier with the first of their Red Solo Cup themed Water Towers. The unusual advertising campaign has since installed less than a dozen similar water towers on the East Coast. Their twelfth installation will be in Morgantown, W.Va.
