CHARLESTON- After President Obama's unsuccessful attempt to dissolve the state of West Virginia last year, relations have been strained between the occupants of the similar looking Capitols. The move was rumored to have been in response to the traditionally Democrat stronghold voting Republican in last few presidential elections. This week, Earl Ray Tomblin attempted to heal the rift by becoming one of a handful of Governors to openly support Obama's healthcare law.

Baldwin Says Ban Large Soft Drinks in WVa
NEW YORK - Conterversial actor Alec Baldwin says he agrees with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's iniative to limit soda consumption and has taken it one step further. The loud mouth liberal thinks that West Virginia should be added to that list. Balwin says that no one in West Virginia should be able to buy more than 32oz of sugar drinks at a time.
OP-ED: Snake Handling is Too Dangerous

When I read the story about the preacher who was killed handling snakes, just like his father - I got so upset I put out my cigarette, spit out my Jack Daniels and had to scream! I wish the WV Legislature would do their job and ban Snake Handling like other states have done. There is no cause for anyone in this day and age to risk their lives - for something like faith!
