CHARLESTON- In case you missed it, this Monday is "Bring Your Gun To Work, Day".  But be warned the special day does not -- we repeat, DOES NOT grant special permission to carry firearms in a Federal Building or any other business that normally bans weapons.  It does, however, serve as a conversation starter for 2nd Amendment supporters.

GANDEEVILLE- If you drove down through Gandeeville on your way down 119, you would be forgiven for not giving the small yellow signs a second look.  You might take them for the iconic Smiley Face from the decade of the 70's.  On second look, however, the homemade signs are actually menacing frowns.

CHARLESTON- In a surprising move to supersede the United States Supreme Court, WV Legislators put to vote the Equal Rights Law for marriage in West Virginia.  What was assumed to be a quickie in-and-out vote that constituents would happily get behind, turned into a long back and forth debate with Delegates coming and going through the night.  In the end, gays got what they wanted.  The right to marry in West Virginia.

CROSS LANES- Sissy Peasnik, a student at Point Harmony Elementary School in Cross Lanes, was expelled this week when a complaint was made about a crayon doodle of a gun.

CHARLESTON- It's that time of year again!  Time to look in the mirror and realize you are just as alone as you were last year on Valentine's Day.  Never fear!  Husson's Pizza has just the thing to fill your heart ...or at least your stomach.

Once again, the ubiquitus social media giant is messing with your Facebook experience.  This time, however, you may not mind.  The changes won't affect the appearance of wall posts so much as... how they sound.

KANSAS- Members of the Westboro Baptist Church are staging another hate-filled protest this week but it will be their last.  And this time many Americans may feel like joining in.  This Friday, the Westboro Baptist Church will be picketing the funeral of the Westboro Baptist Church leader, Fred Phelps.

Don't bother saying grace over your Thanksgiving Turkey this year.  The Federal Government has already seen to it that it has been blessed.  At least according to Muslim tradition, that is.

SHEPHERDSTOWN- Classes were disrupted Thursday when the entire campus of Shepherd University had to be evacuated due to an overpowering aroma that some students described as 300 year old cheese mixed with Bleach and put in the microwave until it blew up.

PUMPKIN (MILTON)- Tis the season!  The Pumpkin Season, that is!  And at this time of year, Milton, WV is full of them!  But that wasn't enough for the residents of Milton.  On the 27th Anniversary of their World-Famous "Pumpkin Festival", they are officially renaming their sleepy little town, home to 2,500 people, to "Pumpkin, WV".
