The ghost has been seen carrying protest signs around the state capital in Charleston. CMT has also reported several calls and faxes from someone identified as A. James Manchin.
Manchin was Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and served in The House of Delegates in West Virginia. He was perhaps most famous for his protesting of television shows that projected West Virginians as yahoos and ignorant hillbillies.
"Logan Trailer Park" which premieres this fall has a collection of characters that has led A. James Manchin to leap from his grave in disgust. The following is a profile of the show's main characters.
Mickey - "The Opportunity" - dubbed "The Opportunity" because he steals everything he has the opportunity to steal and takes advantage of everybody he can when he has the opportunity. Mickey has a mullet and a beer gut.
Delbert - Delbert is a womanizer who brags he has 18 children from 16 different women and does not pay child support for any of them.
Cletus - Cletus has been arrested three times for manufactoring meth and running a meth lab.
Jaqui - "Holler Whore" - Holler Whore will alledgedly do anything or anyone for a pill. She consumes pain pills mainly oxycotins by the handful.
Sonny - "Sonny Sweet Cheeks" - Sonny is a hot blonde who walks around in a pair of shorts with her butt cheeks hanging out. Though they resemble Daisy Dukes she says they are her own creation that she is marketing called "Sweetcheeks".
Danni - "Pookie" - Pookie swills moonshine by the bottle. She is loud, obinous, and toothless. She proudly proclaims "she can whup any man alive or dead." She has 7 kids but does not have custody of any of them so they will not be on the show.
